Savagnin is a varietal local to the Jura region of France and is often made in a style reminiscent of sherry. This is aged under flor for a short period giving it a yeasty note and a slightly nutty character. The palate has green citrus, honeysuckle, pecan pie and a hint of salt. Try this with a hard cheese or a plate shellfish.
